Welcome to Maison Elysée. Ideally located in the center of Toulon, this cosy apartment is a charming 3 bedrooms apartment (with balcon) located on the 5th floor (with lift) of an ancient building equipped with a security badge and an intercom.

ABOUT THE APARTMENT :
Gregory, your host, will welcome you in a bright apartment where design and simplicity go together beautifully. Decorated in Scandinavian style, it will seduce you with :
- its surface (122m2)
- its double exposure that bathes in light
- and its beautiful parquet floor.

This apartment is perfect for families with kids or a group of friends looking for a spacious accommodation suitable for up to 6 people. It have been designed with both comfort and practicality in mind, meaning they are perfect for both relaxing and setting off to explore the area.

Every one of the three lovely bedrooms includes a king-size bed, with quality pillows and linens for a sound night's sleep ! A professional maid is in charge of the cleaning and ensures that bed linen and towels are changed before and after stays.

The small kitchen is fully equipped so you can enjoy your meals in the apartment. With a living/dining area of 48 m², you will be also able to gather all your family/friends around the table and taste the great meal cooked with the fresh French products bought in one of the best Provençal markets « the Cours Lafayette »... which happens to be at 5 minutes’ walk from the apartment.

The bathroom is very functional and has an Italian shower and two vanity basins. For more comfort, the toilets are separated.

ABOUT THE LOCATION :
The location of the apartment is fantastic because here you have everything within reach such as the sea front and the center of Toulon town with its many restaurants and boutiques. In less than a 10 minutes drive, you have access to the beautiful beaches of Le Pradet, Sanary and La Seyne sur Mer. You are also not far away from the most beautiful and secret parts of southern France such as the imposing Calanques and the island of Porquerolles. A boat trip to one of these places will surely contribute to your holiday happiness! Wine tasting is done at one of the many domains in Bandol. And a trip to Marseille or Aix en Provence will fulfill your cultural and urban desires.

ABOUT THE CITY :
The city’s nickname (« the old military » ) says a lot about its past, and its present. Toulon is a major naval center on the French Mediterranean coast, and has been an active military port since the 15th century. The city’s history is evident for anyone living in Toulon – the Old Town and the Tour Royale sea fort are standing monuments to the city’s eventful past.

The old town of Toulon, the historic centre located between the port, the Boulevard de Strasbourg and the Cours Lafayette, is a pedestrian area with narrow streets, small squares and many fountains. Toulon Cathedral is located here. The area is also home of the celebrated Provençal market which takes place every morning on the Cours Lafayette, which features local products. Local food highlights include cuisine from the Mediterranean and from Provence, the cade toulonnaise, a local speciality composed of chickpea flour, the Chichi Frégi, a type of donut from Provence and Smash Sandwiches, a common sandwich available from street vendors throughout Toulon.

Rising above Toulon is Mont Faron which gives wonderful views of the bay. It is an interesting, if not a somewhat risky, drive to the top. For the less hardy there is a funicular railway which takes about ten minutes. When you arrive at the top there is a Mémorial du Débarquement commemorating the Allied Landings of August 1944. There is also a zoo which specialises in monkeys and big cats plus breeds of wolves and snow leopards to be seen. Much of the work in the zoo is dedicated to returning animals to the wild.
