Around
Puy L'Eveque is a historic medieval town dating back to the 1200's. It offers 10 restaurants all within easy walking distance and there are many others in the locality we can recommend to you. The area is a renowned gourmand food region with many speciality dishes.
Across the river (2 minute walk) you can take a trip up the river on the Gabane a replica river barge and there is also canoe and bicycle hire.
We are situated within 5 minutes drive of the best Cahors vineyards in the area where wine tastings are always available.
There are many excellent walking trails and we have maps available to guests.
In the region are many medieval "bastide" towns, chateaus, ancient cave paintings, castles and other historic sites to explore. In the summer there are a host of local carnivals/fetes etc. which include medieval re-enactments, markets and open air "marche gourmands" ( open air evening food markets/restaurants) offering delicious local speciality foods.
