Enjoy an unforgetable experience, while staying on a boat very comfortable, quiet and secured.To see : Notre Dame, piano bars along the Seine, the Marais, Bastille, the open market of Aligre, Bercy Park, the Louvre , the Place des Vosges, and many other beautiful places close to here.The barge is secured by a gangway which keeps the boat away from the dock, and its access is protected by a heavy iron door barring intruders' enter.
The fuel central heating, and reversible air conditioning allow to adapt the desired temperature.
Very close to the Eiffel Tower, you only have 500 feet to take the train, metro, RER, bus, taxi, or Batobus, which will take you close to most monuments of Paris.
With the bike station Vélib beside, you will find bike paths, which will lead over several miles, until the famous popular taverns of the Marne's river.A very privileged position, near the ERiffel Tower,the Trocadero ,and the Champ de Mars, will encourage you to stroll along the waterfront, watching the barges, symbols of another time.For the entertainment of the little ones, the park Eurodysney is at direct reach by RER train or by highway A4. In a floating swimming pool at 1 mile, you will enjoy the sunbath close to the riverside.Many shops and restaurants, piano bars around here.
3 bedrooms, including a large master bedroom with a double bed, a small sofa bed and a folding bed. This room has a sink and a private wc.It was formerly the home of the bargeman, with its cupboards and original mahogany wood flooring. A library will allow you to sleep, helped by the slight swaying of the boat.
The other 2 rooms have double beds, and shelves that accommodate your personal belongings.
There is another single bed under the stairs, and the folding bed of the parents room.
In a corner of the living room is a couch for 2.
The living room features a HiFi, a big screen TV with a 500 channels from all countries satellite , DVD player, Internet, WiFi or direct connection, a computer, a phone to call for free on landlines more than 90 countries worldwide. The triple exposure can enjoy the sun at any time especially benefit from views over the Seine and its flood of barges.The US kitchen is equipped with a washing machine,a dryer and a dishwasher.
A bathroom, including a toilet, a sink and a bathtub, .2 radiators to dry the towels.The pine slatted floor is wide, and the furniture is mahogany.Everyone has his own drawer to place his personal items.
A large mirror over the sink, doors, towels and soap provided, and a hair dryer, complete the equipment of the bathroom, with a window overlooking the Seine.
The parents room has a sink and a wc.
Be careful: toilet running a shredder, it is strictly prohibited from using anything other than toilet paper, otherwise you will block immediately the engine.Sanitary towels, Tampax, Kleenex ,tissues or paper napkins are strictly prohibited in the toilet bowl. Thank you!
A library, DVD, especially for children, information about activities and sightseeing in Paris.
Possibility to loan 3 bikes if available.
Barbecue on the terrace
Security deposit 150 euros, which may be by checks not encashed, returned when the keys are returned.
Linens and towels are provided, and cleaning out is offered for stays of 3 nights and plus.
Terms of stay
Minimum stay 3 nights.
Exceptionally, possibilities 2 nights or one night, subject to our agreement (it is so that we may have no availability to prepare the apartment)
The wellcome is made by the owners,if unable by the housemaid, otherwise, there is a code to open the door of the boat.
Check in after 14h, check out before 10am, unless no one before or after.
Possibility, in all cases to leave the luggage inside the boat and keep a set of key, in case of early arrival or late departure.

August 2015This barge is located in the perfect setting on the Seine, just 10 minuets stroll along the waters edge to the Eiffel Tower. Close to all amenities, restaurants and sites required for your stay in Paris. Which is a major plus point as no car needed once you've arrived.
However, the website does not mention that the barge is split into 3 apartments, so you don't get the whole barge to yourself. Not a major problem, just nice to know these things beforehand.
Great communication from the owner on how to find it etc. and how to get in, photos and instructions on Wi-Fi and TV etc. etc. etc. However the downside to our stay was the condition of the apartment we stayed in. It was very tired to say the least, it was in desperate need of a really good clean, refresh on paintwork as lots of dirty marks and in general the condition of the blinds, furniture and fixings need attentions as lots of blinds very dirty and broken or not working at all so tied up.
The smell of damp down stairs particularly was quite bad, and cobwebs on the ceiling and blinds didn't help. So this needs to be considered for anyone who is an asthma sufferer.
The photo's on the website do not give a true reflection of the apartment we stayed in, which was the back of the boat the only photo is the last photo on the website. The bathrooms where smelly one of them quite unpleasant, the mould on the ceilings in the shower cubicle and round the base was quite un-inviting.
The plants on the deck area where all dead and covered in cobwebs and not in beautiful condition as shown in the website photos.
The barge in general was very disappointing however again the location of the barge can not be faulted. This could be an exceptional place to stay, with just a little bit of time and effort put into cleaning it up. I have let the owner know my thoughts, I hope he takes things into hand. -

Séjour sympathique de part son originalité et l'accueil particulièrement chaleureux de Jean-Michel. L'appartement est spacieux. L'emplacement est idéal, calme et pratique (parking à proximité).
