Small and very nice 1bedroom apartment in the heart of a lively part of the 6th arrondissement, 3-minute walk away from 2 subway stations (Sèvre Babylone on line 6 and Saint Placide on line 4) and in the middle of a great shopping area.
Situated on the 5th floor of a former convent, the apartment overlooks a paved courtyard, and is very quite and sunny. A very peaceful setting for the nones who used to live there decades ago. They since left the building and their quarters have been remodeled. The apartment is newly redone, its decoration is colorful and reflects the many trips I made around the worlds. Wooden floor in the living room and bedroom, tiles in the kitchen and bathroom that is equipped with a shower. The living room has a large desk with high speed WIFI internet access and the kitchen is brand new. Free phone calls to landlines in most countries of the world and large choice of TV channels from around the world.
My favorite baker is next door (litteraly!) and the street boast several very nice cafés, salons de Thé and restaurants, but also convenience stores opened until close to midnight. Larger supermarkets are located 5 minutes away and offer home delivery services. The "Grande Epicerie du Bon Marché" is one of the most famous high-end food store of the capital is a must see where you will find everything. The area is also one of the most famous of Paris for shopping with highstreet fashion stores on the rue de Renne, but also the historical high end department store Le Bon Marché and a myriad of mid to high end fashion stores in the surrounding streets. No wonder Hermès chose this location to open its second flagship store in Paris.
Slightly further away, the Jardin du Luxembourg is one of Paris largest park (also home of the highest Chamber of the French Parliament) that runner will reach in under 10 minutes for a great jog. On your way, stop at the Eglise Saint Sulpice, home to great concerts most evenings.
