You will discover in this historic district on foot or with a tourist train that runs throughout the year: workshops of artists (including potters, painters and gallery owners), the Lenche square, the Church Saint Laurent, the church Notre Dame des Accoules, the Hotel of the frame (the oldest residence Marseillaise) the diamond House, Pavilion Daviel (former Palais de Justice de Marseille), the Vieille CharitéHotel Dieu. It is one of the high places of tourism and the attractions of Marseille. The origin of the name of this historic district comes from the sign of a hostel "le Logis of the basket". Since 1983 the city of Marseille began its rehabilitation and the district is part of the urban development operation "Euroméditérannée". It was built on the site of ancient Massalia Greek. It is a typically Mediterranean area to the colorful facades to be travelled on foot, walking, without fear to lose.
