Description
The apartment is 50 square meters (approx. 540 square feet), with two large rooms (bedroom and living room), both opening onto a small balcony.
The kitchen is in a seperate room, fully furnished (blender, coffee machine etc.)
The apartment is comfortable and spacious for a couple.
This neighbourhood is really unique because it has two major qualities: it is really quiet and calm, has a nice charm with bakeries and cafés, cosy and intimate restaurants, but at the same time is within walking distance from many of Paris' amazing social scene.
As mentioned the rue Mouffetard and Butte aux Cailles are 15 minutes away, the first we would recommend for its amazing market, the second for the cheapest belgian beer in Paris and arty feel.
If you're looking to take a break from all the noise and pollution, there is a cute square just one street over, and we regularly go for a run either at the jardin du Luxembourg, or the parc Montsouris (perfect for a picnic on a hot summer's day, this is Paris' biggest green area).
And if you want to go a bit further, the metro station is 5 minutes away, and connects really easily o get you t the center of paris or anywhere else.
There is also a velib and autolib station in our street (rent bikes and electric cars), which is really a great experience and an amazing way to discover the city !
Finally if you're into Asian food, head over to Chinatown which is in a little further South, for amazing cuisine or exotic food shopping.
As mentioned the apartment is really close to the metro:
- line 6 stops at Glacière, 300metres away, and takes you straight to the Eiffel Tower, Montparnasse or the champs Elysées (30 minutes). You can also connect with line 4 at Denfert Rochereau and you'll get straight to Notre Dame and the quartier latin in 20 minutes.
- lines 5 and 7 are 10 minutes away (the stop is called Gobelins), and will take you to Châtelet, les halles (line 7) or futher North to Bastille, République (line 5)
