Our new cottage is located in the heart of old Marseille, in the District of the basket, two steps from the famous old Port, behind the Town Hall, close to all the main places to visit, beaches and public transportation (tram, Metro, Bus, Petit-train, shuttle to the Château d'if and the calanques). You will discover in this historic district on foot or with a tourist train that runs throughout the year: workshops of artists (including potters, painters and gallery owners), the Lenche square, the Church Saint Laurent, the church Our Lady of the Accoules, the Hotel of the frame (the oldest residence Marseillaise) the diamond House, Pavilion Daviel (former Palais de Justice de Marseille), the Vieille CharitéHotel Dieu. It is one of the high places of tourism and the attractions of Marseille. The origin of the name of this historic district comes from the sign of a hostel "le Logis of the basket". Since 1983 the city of Marseille began its rehabilitation and the district is part of the urban development operation "Euroméditérannée". It was built on the site of ancient Massalia Greek. It is a typically Mediterranean area to the colorful facades to be travelled on foot, walking, without fear to lose. In a small authentic building on one of the characteristic narrow streets of the District of the basket, discover the 'Basket 2000' Lodge tastefully renovated: decoration on the movie theme of the famous daily television series that inspired the basket and the bar 13 corners to create the "Mistral".
